3月2日晚，来自合作学校美国弗罗斯特堡州立大学（Frostburg State university, FSU）的Sally Stepensen教授， 在学校F201为我院金融学本科项目学生开展了一场内容丰富、形象生动的讲座。此次Sally教授将在我校进行半年的教学，主要以第二课堂形式，为学生开展系列专题讲座。首次讲座的主题是关于FSU的整体介绍，重点介绍在FSU的学习与生活。Sally教授通过大量的图片和文字，向同学们展示了美丽的弗罗斯特堡州立大学及其周边环境，展现了四季变换中的校园美景，尤其是重点讲到在FSU学习的模式、资源与方法。Sally教授鼓励同学们努力学习，迎战托福考试，做好充分准备，顺利赴美学习。讲座中，16级金融学本科项目学生黄鸽平、陈思成、彭垚臻等同学与Sally教授积极互动，就美国学习与深造进行了现场交流，会场气氛活跃，同学们的发言也展示了我院金融学本科项目学生良好的学习氛围与综合素质。

讲座结束后，Sally教授也对讲座进行了以下总结：

I explained how FSU students select their classes according to their majors, and how class schedules work.  
 I showed them different types of classrooms and teaching styles, which differ from what I have seen so far in China.  
 I also told them about both on-campus and off-campus activities for students.  
 I concluded the talk with the following three points:  First, Frostburg is a friendly school, where faculty care about students 
and try to make learning interesting; secondly, FSU is located in a small town community where people are kind, helpful and easy-going; and finally, many activities for students exist, both on and off campus.
 Individual students were concerned about their oral and written English skills, so I gave the students some suggestions about 
strategies to improve these.
      此次讲座，给予我校中美合作金融学本科项目学生良好的引导与鼓励，加强了学生对合作项目、美国高校教学模式、出国深造的认知，通过优质外教资源的不断融入，为学生在我校学习营造了良好的国际化氛围。后续，Sally教授还将进行系列讲座；本学期，还会有美国合作学校2位教授过来为本项目学生授课。期待学生在中美两校的共同培育下，逐步成长为国际型金融人才。（文/徐姝  图/廖浩）
